The Northwest Group is looking for an experienced Service Trainer to join our growing team!

This leadership position would work out of either our Seattle or Portland offices, but work would take place in both locations.  In this role, you will develop and conduct programs to train service employees on installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sets up and maintains training facilities.
  • Develop and implement training strategies to meet the demands of our customer base.  This includes in-house training, laptop training, updating the Training Matrix, and identifying Nuts and Bolts needs.
  • Demonstrates procedures being taught, such as programming and repair.
  • Observes trainees in laboratory and answers trainees' questions.
  • Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance.
  • Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facility and integrates information into training program.
  • Ensures certifications for all service employees are met in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Service Managers to help maintain Global Benchmarks.
  • Delivers "soft skill" course development and delivery to service staff in the areas of customer satisfaction, communication, etc.
  • Spend time in the field mentoring high potential technicians.
  • Take a proactive role in developing ideas for machine performance to reduce CPC, and parts creativity to reduce parts usage and expense.  This includes but is not limited to the reporting and analysis of developing costs.

Role Requirements:

At least 5 years of Service experience in the Printing industry.

Strong understanding of industry technologies

Excellent ability to communicate knowledge with people of all skill levels

Ability to present training in both verbal and written forms.

 

Preferred Skills:

Management experience preferred

Xerox specific knowledge a PLUS!

Experience managing complex projects and implementations
